Artist's Statement
My love of abstraction is showing up in my newest work. For the
first time I am including something realistic with it in the form
of a flower that I have known and usually grown. I'm finding that
there are many fascinating stories about flowers and how people
have interacted with them.
Bio
Martha Dillard uses acrylics for the abstracts and landscapes which
she has exhibited for over 30 years. Her work is in public and private
collections throughout the United States. A graduate of Austin College
and VA Tech, her studio is on the Virginia farm where she lives
and enjoys in the mountains.
